heart strings

tonight i had a crafty date with alyson. she's the best crafty denver friend i have right now. i think we're going to try to be crafty once a month, alternating hosting/dinner, and craft ideas/supplies. lucky for ME, i got to pick the craft for february, the month of one of my two favorite holidays (easter and valentine's day). i was so excited, i didn't know how to narrow down all my fun ideas and choices....

for ideas i looked here and here.

i decided on doing these fun paper-mobiles, with hearts and fun paperballs, similar to the pumpkins i made for thanksgiving dinner.... a little paper, glue, paper cutter and fishing line, and voila! hearts galore. YAY! they didn't turn out as awesome as i had hoped, but alyson made a freakin' delicious dinner and the valentine's paper is always so fun and i learned how to use/hammer in eyelets, a new favorite crafty wonder i want to use more!

playing with a new camera app on my phone... spooky, almost.

  1. Cute! I think my hearts will be staying up awhile after Valentines Day. =^) Who says hearts aren't year round decor?!
