you know you're a dog mom when...

(when leg prints are so cute, and prove a theory)

theory: dogs sit on their butts.
fact: dogs don't sit on their butts when they sit. in fact, they sit on their hind legs.
i know this from
a) watching my dogs sit at street corners during endless walks and trainings, and  seeing their lil' butts hovering ever so slightly above the sidewalk... and
b) from this prints in the snow. you can see myla's lil' body prints: the lower set has two front paw prints on the left, and two hing leg prints on the right- she would have been facing the left side of this picture. the top print is her two front paws at the very top, followed by her hing leg prints- she would have been facing the top edge of this picture. notice NO butt prints on either print.

i seriously thought this was so cute.
