things that i've learned in the past few days.

* cake batter in a tupperware in a hot car will begin to cook itself and expand, within five minutes. which is not a great thing, especially for cloth seats, black dresses and orange purses.

* walking to chipotle and back from lia's place only takes 25 minutes, no matter if you have the bogo coupon or not. thankfully today, i had a bogo and a friend who bought her lunch so mine would be free. thanks, li!

* no matter how much i don't think i am getting sun when i lay out, i am. glad i packed my aloe in the move.

* the dryer doesn't work, even when plugged in. which means it's time to call an electrician.

* it's ok to take a break from working and unpacking. the two hours on my couch during the thunderstorm, watching intervention and an abcfamily tv series were the most wasted, and relaxing, moments of my weekend.

* and i still got most of everything i wanted to do, done.

* i am still insecure with boys. i spent a week being overwhelmed with constant attention from BS, and then i told him to slow down. a day and a half later, and one phone call and text later, i'm afraid he's forgotten all about me. girls are funny.

* i think i am going to allow myself to actually like BS, with my whole self, instead of the 'one foot in one foot out' attitude i can have with guys. if he decides to call again.

* the wedding and groom's cake is 'due' this friday, and i have four of the five cakes baked, which isn't bad considering i have no stove. now for fancy fondant work. anyone have a fondant globe pattern??

* i love my friends..

* i feel like dad and i are building a real relationship, and are actually doing something different this time. it feels good.

* my sisters are on a camping trip, just the two of them, and i am at home. i miss them a lot, and want to have more sister time. to make up for it, i have the picture of them they sent me on my phone. i love seeing them every time i use it.

* i don't have to install the washer tonight, and will wait for the guys on friday, with my stove, to do it. and the world will not end.

* in fact, big lesson of the weekend: the world doesn't end when i don't do responsible things. hallelujuah.
