the last thirty minutes

are always the longest of a work day.

so far, i've read a lot of new blogs. why are most of the cutest, craftiest, cleverest blogs by mormon moms? do they just get bred that way in utah, to be amazingly cute and crafty and love their four babies, and precious husbands? (ps i can say that because i am from utah, and i've seen this not only in the blogging community but in real life).

i've also made a shopping list for tonight's dinner. breakfast for dinner, to be exact. i can't stop eating french toast these days. cinnamon raisin challah bread french toast with turkey bacon and cheesey feta eggs- pretty much heaven on earth. paired with a homemade decaf soy latte with chocolate raspberry coffee, and i'm in heaven.

earlier i also looked up the closest tattoo shops and hot topic stores so that on the way home i can stop to get a new nose stud. because in a moment of impuslive stupidity this morning i ruined my current nose stud (think blowing your nose, metal snipers, and slight panicked visit to target at 8:02am to find the smallest earring studs, and there was my morning). i feel like a little bit riduculous with this large piece of earring metal in my nose, but it is what it is, right? good thing i face the corner window all day and no one has really had the guts to mention it.

i too worked, lest ye be deceived. i'm ahead on a few projects and have a few more to go, and with two more work days in the week here, meaning almost twnety more hours of work to go, i have faith that i will get these done as well.

oh, and i worked out. and i worked out earlier, thinking that because i was having a bad hair day i might as well get my metabolism moving earlier than later. however, when i got to the gym i realized i was having a good hair day but it was too late to turn around. so i sat on the spin bike for 30 minutes, directly in front of the fan, with my hair down and blowing, staring at myself, willing my hair to stay perfect in it's cold sweat. it didn't.

it is now an appropriate time to leave work. happy tuesday to you! i am going home to eat breakfast, get cuddley with the girls and wear sweatpants. gotta love a snow storm in the middle of march.

ps. i also overheard a coworker on a conference call say 'they have big eyes on even bigger balls'. since we work in non-profit health care community benefit, i have no idea what that means. but i laughed outloud.

  1. I would have to agree, end of the day usually crawls on by. Great time to check Facebook (again), any new posts on Blogger (again), and tidy my desk for the next day...but all of that doesn't ever take 30 mins. Someday we'll be able to just leave, right?! :)
