" I don't think I'm a guy that needs sympathy, but I do need support."
The most touching part of George Karl's press conference last night, as he delivered the news that he has his second go-round battling cancer. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2005, but fully recovered. This time, he's got a throat/neck/head cancer (the reports I've seen are conflicting), and will be out for 6 weeks for treatment.
As an avid Nuggies supporter, this news makes me sad. But, as a believer in the strength of positive thoughts, support from others, and the resilicency of humans, this news seems to give GK another chance to prove his strength and rely on his support team- family, friends and players alike- to get him through yet another uphill battle.
Go get 'em, GK!
