today is the day.
i am ecstatic.
it's been seven days. seven long days, seven short days.
seven days since i ran. seven days since i got my foot broken, on purpose. seven days since i last could carry a glass of water or coffee on my own. seven days since i've seen my right foot, toes, leg.
seven days since i've seen the gym.
here i come, my dear little lowry 24! oh how i miss you- visions of arm bikes, crutches in gym outfits, balancing on one foot and odd stares dance in my head... sweating in a calf-length boot has never sounded so amazing. the smelly, crowded locker room and rough barbells and cracked foam boards; the testosterone-laden front desk guys (have they ever really even worked out?!) and sweet front desk girls; the floor length mirrors and familar faces that i see everyday but never meet; even the SCALE is sounding good to me!
i can't wait... it's seven minutes closer to four thirty....
you are gonna be RIPPED :) i'm so happy you're out and getting back into your life! i hope you enjoyed your lazy days and got some relaxation in! you're right, you're lucky to have amazing parents! i miss you and please know, if i was there, i'd be happy as a cupcake to be your personal chauffeur!
