sopresa!

i love flowers. and i love surprises. and flowery surprises, well. they are great in my book.

lucky me, this is my first spring here at spruce st, and i have no idea what kind of flowery surprises to expect to bloom here. and to my luck, i've been surprised, at least twice already!

beautiful crocus...

and the magnolia tree in back (which i thought was an old, dead, weird thing until fabulous sam wood came over and exclaimed in a high pitched voice, 'oh my gossshhhh it's a MAGNOLIA TREEEEEEEE) is ALSO sprouting lil blooms... which has me over the moon.

i can't wait to see what else is in store! (i'm hoping for the biggest surprise of all: that some grass will magically grow in the back yard...)
