ode to my tightie rightie,
dear right foot:
thanks. thanks for all you do for me. i appreciate all the distances you have taken me- running, walking, skipping, skiing.. all the ways you get me around. thank you for allowing me to walk my dogs every day, thereby preserving my mental sanity; thank you for allowing me to drive, gassing and breaking my way to fun places, loving family, and goofy friends. thank you for inspiring me to run, teaching me that it really IS mind over matter- no pain, no gain. without you, i'd not be very good at some of the things i love to do. so thanks.
and, good luck. tomorrow you'll do great. i just know it- you'll be in some pain, but it will be worth it and then we'll be back on track in a few short months to be bigger and better than before (well, actually, not bigger. please don't grow anymore). i know that you won't like me much tomorrow, but the docs will take care of you and be gentle, and so will i.
thanks, foot. and good luck. and no growing. remember that.
love, kaci
