christmas trees are a weird tradition, when you think about it, really. i mean, let's go buy a huge, tall tree someone cut out of the forrest, and then stick it in our house and decorate it, and hope it stays alive for a while. they are even weirder when you're single, and live with a roommate, and you don't really put presents underneath because you are going to your family's house. and, if possible, it's an even WEIRDER tradition when you have dogs- like myla- who you are afraid will eat the precious, sentimental ornaments and presents and lights. so you end up not decorating the tree until you can prove she won't tear it down when you're gone. so really it's just a tree in the corner of your living room, with lights on it that you don't turn on because you want to save energy.
well, myla the elf decided yesterday that this bare tree sitting in the corner would not do. so, in typical myla fasion, she took matters into her own hands.. paws... mouth... and ripped open my favorite throw pillow to decorate with a little festive 'snow'. thank you, myla, for your ever growing taste in house decorating!
The worst part is, you can't even get mad at her!
